The BBCSCA is a charitable organisation with the objective of promoting and facilitating the advancement of ameutar sports and recreation and other charitable purposes for the general benefit of the inhabitants of Berkswell, Balsall Common and Temple Balsall.

There are a number of sports societies that currently sit under the BBCSCA and including tennis, cricket, hockey and sailing (more detail can be found in the links section). In addition to facilitating amateur sports provision the BBCSCA also manages the Lant clubhouse and grounds situated on Meeting House Lane. The Lant facility currently provides a base for a number of child and youth groups.
